"Recycled Lovelies came about because of my love for the environment and the difference I found I could make by buying used and recycling.
I love recycled clothes, vintage clothes and revamping old clothes into something new! I have made a commitment not to buy new clothes for a year and want to show readers that this can be done, while still looking great. I also want to share my ideas of how to up-cycle clothes into something new.
My favorite clothes are feminine, vintage items from the 50's, 60's and 70's. I love being an individual and owning something that no one else has.
I enjoy sewing, but have not mastered this skill yet; in fact, I have a long way to go. But because of this new found love of sewing and this new recycle-buying venture, I have decided to make all my gifts from recycled items. My latest creations have been purses and aprons. Some would refer to this, making something new out of something old, as re-purposing or up-cycling.
